Antonian Elected as Member of the German Bundestag

In February 2025, Antonian Johannes Volkmann (MSc Contemporary Chinese Studies, 2019) was elected as a Member of the German Bundestag. He represents the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party in the Lahn-Dill constituency. At 28 years old, he is the youngest elected Member of the German Bundestag. With his election, Johannes will serve on the Foreign Affairs Committee and the Committee for Economic Cooperation and Development.

Johannes has been involved in politics from an early age. He joined the CDU as a member in 2012 and became the Chairman of the Lahn-Dill County Council in 2021. In 2024, Johannes became the youngest elected member of the Federal Executive Committee of the CDU.
